The mission of the CUG is to serve as a collaborative forum for Charleston’s preservation, planning, and design communities. The organization aims to turn discourse into action through media production, community engagement, and tactical urbanism.

Historic Preservation - Preserving Charleston’s unique architecture and world-renowned design. Preservation through new construction.

Students from the College of Charleston’s Urban Studies and Historic Preservation and Community Planning programs joined students from the American College of the Building Arts to commit our knowledge and resources to the betterment of Charleston. Together, we will bridge the gap between architecture, planning, and preservation to advocate for a superior Charleston.
